TAGGING HABITS: variant depending on how shits going irl but i try to get to every tag at LEAST once weekly, generally faster, i used to be able to get to everything once daily.... lmao. im probably gonna be slower this month bc im going to be prioritizing modwork, i have a lot of npc plates 2 spin (that i am so excited for)

CHARACTER;

NAME: Midnighter. Sometimes M. In Gallipoli, his codename was 'Bruno Shaw'.
CANON: DC, rebirth flavor. I take the majority of his characterization from how Steve Orlando wrote him, if that matters to any of you.

GAME GOALS: Midnighter needs to kind of learn how to be a person and better himself emotionally and shit. I have pretty vague plans because Midnighter is a pretty changeable character. Overall, though, I'd like him to learn that, 1, he doesn't need to be in a relationship to be happy, 2, to stop waffling over whether hes a person or not, 3, to stop putting people on pedistals (especially 'normal people'), and 4, to get over himself.

PLOT PLANS: Midnighter's on team 4 (DEFENSE) for February, and his job will be making sure you guys don't get too fucked up while you sit and wait for the special kids to do your thing. I'll probably be taking it slow and steady with him wrt modwork, so I might not toplevel on everyfuckingthing like usual (watch me walk back on this promise like always). a few of his good friends have been kidnapped or are going on other missions, so he's going to have to branch out a lil.

DESIRED CR:

- people to fucking bicker with. midnighter LOVES getting a rise out of people and is just generally pointlessly combative. have fun with that.

- men to flirt with. midnighter likes to flirt. he only flirts with dudes (hes gay, honey), and he will aggressively flirt to assert dominance because hes an asshole. if ur character actually flirts back in earnest, tho, hell enjoy the fuck out of that. (nb: midnighter is like 30ish and wont show interest in people who are 25 or younger bc its gross; i cant always tell ages from icons-- hey, animefaces, looking at u-- jsyk)

- sparring partners. midnighter loves to fight. LOVES to fight. please fight him.

- 'normal people'. midnighter is a superhero with a computer in his brain and no childhood. he barely understands earth culture. hes genuinely fascinated by 'normal people' and thinks theyre exotic and fun. note that since midnighter is so abnormal with so little experience in normalcy, his criteria for 'normal' is way broader than most people's.....

- female characters. due to a few recent drops he has like no female cr please help me im dying.

Also I would say sparring, but Dorian's a fucking cheater, and he is unapologetic about this fact--it would end with tragic stupidity if Dorian even tried not to cheat. He'd hit you with a stick M.

And also with his fail!kidnapping he might have something he can offer Midnighter in terms of intelligence.

and Dorian is weak against punches and heights, he's weak against heights, but no one has to know that until it's relevant. He could always train you to be magic literate-ish, M, if nothing else Dorian's good for making a fantastic obstacle course. M can think on his feet he can outmaneuver a ball of fire, right?

Haven't ironed out the deets yet, being low on mana would put him at risk. But Dorian has a few options that include being attacked, drugged via mist or darts, or teleported.

Are you interested in writing out that sparring? C: I love writing fight threads. Merlin probably would be super interested in putting more effort into physical fighting after this mission given that the Regency come with power nullifiers and most of his defences come from powers. I'm wondering if you'd be interested in beating some toughness into him. lmao.
