The plot currently happening is taking place in the turbulence of revolutionary Paris. Now that you're all here, we're going to start doing 'update' posts giving you an idea of what's going in in Paris, that your characters can react to with logs and network posts. CHARACTER; Aloy

CANON: Horizon Zero Dawn

GAME GOALS: Aloy has a pretty strange life situation in canon where she's not really trusting of people and tends to expect the worst from them first, so...! I'd like to see her grow and make friends and form strong relationships with people. She's not used to that, so I'd like to explore it.

PLOT PLANS: I took a hiatus for November, and Aloy got to go on a neat mission, but this also means she missed 99% of the past month's happenings! So at the moment, just reintegrating her and generally jumping right into plot.

DESIRED CR: "Any" is my generic answer, so... Some things I'm interested in!
- Girl friends (or girlfriend???) around her age (18~19)
- Older women for her to look up to
- People that underestimate her, since I love that kind of conflict and she's very cocky about proving people wrong
- Teaching CR! Aloy teaching your character more "primitive" ways of doing things or people teaching Aloy more modern ways of doing things. There's a big cultural difference, and I love playing that out.

But regardless! I think Aloy would actually respond well to someone else that's used to being underestimated, so that would be great! She's so used to being looked down on that people on even footing are a relief in her opinion lol

Sieg is v good with a sword, let him teach Aloy how to properly hold one/swing with it. Do you think she'd be up for teaching him how to use a bow?

well first of all, good!! hzd is absolutely my game of the year, so I'm always happy to hear of other people playing it. It's so good.

She'll definitely be interested in the lightsaber since it's the kind of weirdo tech that she's... Well. Not used to. But it's a thing. Though unfortunately, she doesn't have her focus or override to share at the moment! Eventually she'll/I'll buy them back, but atm she just has the standard bow.

I don't know a lot about HZD (which I know is a sin, especially when my PS4 is my life), but I feel like these two might get along? Shinobu isn't too far off from the 18-19 range (at 21 herself), so maybe that bullet could be filled here! Otherwise, Shinobu would actually be interested (eventually, in the most stubborn of ways) in learning more primative ways of doing things and she, in turn, can try to modernize her a bit. :)

oh man they absolutely would!! If there's someone Aloy can relax around and not be so stand-offish, it's another woman that knows how to fight lmao... so I'd love to do this! aloy may not be the most patient, but at least she knows enough about way back when to know that most people aren't going to get how to do things in a very hands on way.

plus, she'd like to learn more about modern times that isn't random pieces scattered around

Aloy + Dany at the base. Dany is 24 in game and totally can be someone Aloy looks up to if you want that sort of influence in her life. Otherwise, definitely friends! Alas, Dany is a squishy and more on the "primitive" side of the spectrum. She just likes to burn things down when they displease her, lbr.

Keyleth is 20, bubbly and warm, but also initially pretty annoying because she's a bit of a tryhard. But she truly means well and wants to make friends so there's a good chance for bonding if you're interested / she doesn't drive Aloy batty first!
