CANON: DC comics, and I take the bulk of his characterization from how he's written by Steve Orlando.

GAME GOALS: Midnighter... needs to get a life. Can you, like, buy those?

PLOT PLANS: While he was made to be someone else's soldier, Midnighter's never actually been to war. I'm interested to see how a highly structured environment like this one will weigh on him. He generally thinks of himself as invincible, or at least extremely difficult to kill; this will be new for him.

DESIRED CR: In general, Midnighter is rough, rude, and generally crass; he likes getting a reaction out of people, and doesn't care how they feel about him. He's great for negative CR, but Midnighter is difficult to legitimately piss off. He's roughly okay with most of the people he meets. He just doesn't care if someone hates or dislikes him, and his generally rude attitude means he rubs a lot of people wrong.

But that won't stop him from liking them or considering them important, a priority, or just 'fun'.

He's also got a tendency to flirt with men as a way of trying to dominate the conversation or 'win', since he views most things as some kind of conflict. He only flirts with men (he's gay, honey) and he'll do this to anyone who he doesn't consider a 'kid'-- unless he's outright asked to stop because it makes someone uncomfortable. Midnighter likes to mess with people, but once boundaries are stated, he'll respect them.

He'll just be an ass until then.

Midnighter has a soft spot for 'kids' (anyone who acts like a kid, or is under the age of 22 tends to qualify), but that doesn't mean he isn't abrasive with them either.

At the moment, M needs more CR with female characters, some sparring partners, and maybe someone who will tell him this isn't WWII.

- He's definitely going to raise suspicion based on him acting not like a normal person at all (not to mention his youth) and I'd love to incorporate that disruption in a concrete way, either because it messes things up or it forces other characters to play damage control
- (He's going to tell people he's Canadese and I'm sorry already)
- Through all this he's also going to be pretending he's human even to the other characters for maximum shenanigans
- Ax also has no qualms killing though he doesn't like it and is very much used to warfare; I would love for that to come into play esp considering his apparent age
- He's gonna specialize in sniping (snipery?) which could be a good way to initiate CR right off the bat
- He'll probably also need someone to keep him from eating all his rations at once.

DESIRED CR:
- So in terms of physical age, I'm pretty sure he's the youngest character in the game? With that combined with his... odd behavior... I would love for an adult character to get the impression he's a hapless innocent who has no place on a battlefield and become convinced they need to babysit him. He will hate it and it will be hilarious.

- At SOME point someone's gotta discover his alien secret, likely due to confrontation over how weird he acts, and I'd like it to be someone who's gained his trust a little bit so he'll tell them willingly. Let me know if you're interested in something like that :3c

NAME: Eren Yeager. Your characters'll probably only know him as Kruger, though.
CANON: Attack on Titan, aka "medieval spidermen killing giant naked people" turned "WWI drama about racial conflict that may or may not be a commentary on East Asian politics".

GAME GOALS: Originally it was to get acquainted with the site but now that that's been done...not sure. I just want Eren to be the best soldier he can be. A large part of my enjoyment in RP comes from pulling off really cool stunts that I wouldn't otherwise be able to through. Eren's good for that sort of vicarious thrill.

PLOT PLANS: For Gallipoli, he'll really be in his element. Like, no joke, that's all his series is about now. He's not going to be jumping around as a giant or anything (heavens, no), but he will certainly be on the front...tearing shit apart. On the other hand, given he still probably needs to sleep, he'll probably fall back rarely. Upon which he'll probably not sleep at all and will just give very convicted speeches about doing what needs to be done and that if you're having a moral crisis, not to feel bad. Just...yeah.

DESIRED CR: I enjoy Eren taking the contrarian role to people who would otherwise be morally...superior? I guess? How to put this. If your character can get away with doing good things, and is a good person, I enjoy Eren being their shadow and showing them just how awful things can be if they took one step off their path. Basically, I want him to spook the shit out of people so that they stay right and proper lads.

That's my biggest favorite as far as CR goes but I'm otherwise plenty happy with Eren making acquaintances through general tomfoolery (cough, Noctis) and tend to take things easy. I don't like writing really heavy shit unless the situation calls for it, and even with everyone thinking Gallipoli's gonna be as depressing as they come...I don't think it's that time yet for Eren.

I'd say I'd like for someone to try and get him to look clean and healthy and open up some more but. Again, it's not yet time for that. Sorry for being so wishy-washy with all this.

DESIRED CR:
-Loyalty and devotion is kind of his thing. He gets attached easily to people who pay attention to him in a positive way
-Also, getting angry and going off on people
-Ribbing besties/friends who knock each other down a few notches constantly to keep each other in check
-For this mission, a war mentor or just someone he feels comfortable enough to open up to without trying to change the conversation and lead it elsewhere. Just someone he can be serious with and not have to keep up the class clown act with
-Positive CR in general. I'll be frank, Ryuji has a ways to go in terms of emotional growth, I'd really love for some CR that helps develop both characters into better people overall.
-CR where Ryuji saves your character. He's got a bit of a hero complex when it comes to protecting others and will put himself in danger to protect people he cares about. Let him do his thing, get shot, etc. Wherever it goes, you know?

GAME GOALS: I'm having a lot of fun just letting Noctis get acclimated to "normal life". Don't say COST life is normal? It involves him having to do his own laundry, so that's a start. I'm excited to keep developing this and also challenging him with different kinds of characters. Long story short, he's way too sheltered.

Also: getting everyone in the game to use emoji.

PLOT PLANS: Noctis is physically very capable. Mentally and emotionally? Less so. He'll think he is because killing and war aren't new things to him, but this kind of psychological drawn-out warfare will definitely start to get to him. He'll be ready and willing to help others but I'm looking to deepen cr and spark up some new kinds too with sanity-saving missions or chats. Anything to break up the horrifying monotony of being in the trenches.

A high risk mission would be awesome too, js, if anyone wants to risk life and limb together. I'm down for basically any kind of mini plot in this. (let's explore the tunnels together)

GAME GOALS:
Testing his philosophies, especially 'going with the flow' and the part where yeah, definitely go against the flow sometimes but expect to die in the process. Also using some of his strategical military genius in the field.

PLOT PLANS:
I'm going to be sending Yoshitsugu on a bottle mission with a lighter theme soon, estimating somthing like 17th January to 4th February; this will miss skirmish 1 but include skirmish 2 and the HRHR mission. Reasons are just to pace the heavier plot for myself (OOC) while also allowing for Yoshitsugu's utterly terrible immune system to catch a break (IC, probably). Takatora is going to be coming along for the ride but if anyone else is up for this let me know, and if you wanna participate in it but for a shorter time that's okay too, and within the rules of the botton mission set-up. Thanks for this option mods. ♥

When back in the main mission, well, Yoshitsugu's philosophies and usual calm are going to be tested heavily by this setting and he's already a bit 'hmm' about things since joining COST (thanks, Chiron, you're a good Dad). Younger characters and those without experience in war will be ones he checks on, even if he's not met you before now, but he may especially have concerns about those he's bonded with. Ryuji, he's really going to be keeping watch on you even from afar.

He'll probably also share thoughts about the start of gun warfare, a thing he witnessed the birth of (well, one of the births of) back in Japan, and a certain somebody known as Oda Nobunaga who foresaw where it would go right from the beginning. I'm not settling on anything else until I see how things go in the plot. It seems one where going with the flow is the wisest choice, at least for my guy.

DESIRED CR:
I've really enjoyed some of the avenues of CR that have caused Yoshitsugu to reflect upon the way he lives his life; it's not something you can anticipate from the start but I will certainly love to continue some of those lines during this plot.

Aside from that? Like most I'm up for all kinds of CR though his usual habit of antagonising and teasing people in darker ways is probably going to be put on the back-burner for a while. Lighter teasing is still gonna happen, of course. Being a war orphan, veteran warrior and military strategist may make him a useful source of emotional support, though he'll also be 100% realistic and completely lacking in sugar-coating about what's going to happen and the struggles characters go through during and after.

Although he'll be on a mission of his own for a good chunk of it, Ryuji will miss him and think about him often, as the conversations they had in Paris are a huge, formative piece, if not one of the most important things, that has happened to him since coming to COST. PLOT PLANS: SNIPE PEOPLE'S KILLS and trying to deal with the fact that she won't be the best sniper here (her specialty is BLADES what is this gun bullshit). But no, WW1 will be more intense than what even she's used to dealing with (people trying to kill her for her rank constantly, nbd), but will still be dealing with this a lot better than a lot of other characters probably will and thus can be person to calm your character's ass down, if needed. Also, she'll have 0 problems with anything morally questionable, just saying.

Basically a long-winded way of saying I have no real set plans and I'm honestly down with whatever.

GAME GOALS: Just right not to get a feel for everything and build up CR for Jeyne. Once I manage to get settled, I plan to start exploring her ability to manage in this harsh environment and learn to look after herself as she never had the chance to in Westeros. I want her to find strength and confidence through this adversity and build a life for herself that she didn't really have a choice in before. A blessing in disguise situation.

PLOT PLANS: Right now just surviving this training course. This is probably the most brutal mission she could have come into first. It's going to be a test whether her spirit can pull through these conditions and relentless training after living for so long as a noblewoman, uncertain and unsure of herself. She also needs to reconcile with her past while following COST's orders about this past.

DESIRED CR: Any! She needs friends, mentors, people to just give her a small push to get through this. I don't mind negative CR as well. I'd really like to build up something steady for her, people she can go on missions with until she learns more about warfare and defense.

NAME: This is SOLDIER: 76 from
CANON: OVERWATCH

GAME GOALS: 76 is here in kind of a bad spot. tl;dr he helped end the robot war, ran a peacekeeping operation for 20 years, was betrayed, blown up, and is now a rage-fueled revenge machine out to uncover THE CONSPIRACY (check out his app for further reading). Being part of COST is forcibly broadening his scope. Without all the fancy experimental equipment he stole from the government, he has to rely solely on his own abilities and know-how (which are not necessarily insubstantial--he is Old but he's also a Captain America-style super soldier) while learning how to function as part of a team again.

He's also an avid conspiracy theorist and isn't entirely sold on this. Following orders is something he's good at, but with a blank in his memory about how he even joined this thing, he can't rule out kidnapping or weird simulations or even whether or not COST is the good guys. Maybe he'll get to dig around in that sandbox a little bit. We'll sseeeee.

PLOT PLANS: 76 is continually pissed off that he's been kidnapped away from his former SIC and all of the Very Important Conspiracy Things they were doing. This is now the third mission that's taken place on his world, so he's kind of anxious about that. DON'T SCREW UP THE TIMELINE he's starting to get mad.

He's already lived through a pretty horrific war and he's a gr8 compartmentalizer, so he'll be taking Gallipoli in stride (as well as you can take something like this in stride). He'll generally be more concerned with the rest of you. He tends to do best when he throws himself into the thick of things, and is already pretty invested in making sure no one is a liability. If anyone needs any lessons about guns or fighting or punching or War, or you want to talk War Philosophy for some reason, he is your guy.

DESIRED CR: I want everything, but as I expect a lot of his initial encounters to be on the slightly antagonistic side (he’s grumpy), I’d love to try and seek out people he might get along with or tolerate, too. PLOT PLANS: War is actually one of the only things she's decent at, even if WWI is very different from knights on horses. She'll need a bit to adjust, but she's going to be posing as a man and putting herself on the front line (~as a king should~).

That said, given the food situation and lack of rest, she's going to be utterly exhausted. She won't fade away, but it could easily get to the point where she can't even move, let alone fight, despite the lack of any surface injuries. So... the Master thing might be getting bumped up a bit.

DESIRED CR: Anyone who wants to hang with her in the trenches: she'll complain that she's bored, but also be 100% ready to go at the drop of a hat. She's on rotation with the machine gunners, so anyone else with that specialty can easily bump into her.

Honestly, though, anything is cool. She's also growing slightly less guarded about her identity as time goes on, given that everyone knew it back home anyway, so if anyone wants some Real Name Truths then hit me up. (Especially if she's having to explain to people why the hell she's so out of it.)

GAME GOALS: I'M BEING LAZY AND TAKING MY PREVIOUS CR MEME BLURB FOR THIS, DON'T JUDGE ME. What I'd really like to start on is CR that can eventually build into a potential Master and Servant relationship. Siegfried's trust in mages is really fragile at this point- after basically being denied to even speak by his previous Master (not to mention I'm going to have him eventually learn of his Master beating a child), it's going to take time and work on both ends for him to repair that trust. An ideal Master would be someone who would not only support him (because lord, his issues are a mess), but also push him when he needs it. It'd take a good amount of time and effort, but it's definitely doable.

PLOT PLANS: I'm gonna need someone to work out a temporary contract with Siegfried for this whole thing- there's absolutely no way he's gonna make it through trench warfare and protecting others with low mana reserves. Any mage in need of a 6'2" bara who is immortal and is basically a tank for the rest of Gallipoli?

Otherwise, Siegfried is going to be a soldier, sniping people who get close and doing what he can to help everyone else. GONNA SAVE PEOPLE, GONNA DO IT.

DESIRED CR: The short version is that Siegfried needs friends that will support and encourage him to grow as a person, and not be so accepting of all the shit he gets in his life. People who will also tell him it's okay to live a little and take care of himself would be fabulous too.

The long version is that Siegfried has no confidence in himself, save for when he fights, and no real self-worth. Hence why he's always saying "sorry" whenever people talk to him. Because of his lore and him bringing tragedy, it's hard for him to see anything positive in what he does, he tends to lean more towards the negative because it's easier for him to see that. People will have to be patient with him and sort of... call him out a bunch on when he does it. It's a habit more than anything else, and he doesn't even know he does it much anymore.

He's stubborn, and will argue against something if he doesn't believe in it, even at the expense of possibly surviving (see: him arguing with Achilles over getting mana from dead space frogs to not fade away because to him, it was wrong). Someone please tell him to care for himself, because he's still convinced that as a knight, any kind of selfishness is the opposite of what he should strive to be as a hero. He'll literally throw himself under the bus if it means he can help someone else, someone please tell him that this is a stupid idea.

Living in the trenches with all the dead bodies would be just an emotional roller coaster ride rather more than physical disgust at the smell/etc. Even with all the training he would still be very hesitant about actually using it so feel free to give him a slap up the head about it. THIS IS HOW FAR I GOT I'm willing to plot for stuff.

DESIRED CR: anything and everything??? He's new, fairly good at making friends and tries to get along with everyone. Seems like a teen boy with all his fooling around but he will get oddly serious about Death and Fate too so looking for people to have some conversations about that as well among the trenches looking at the stars, etc.

GAME GOALS: Connect with human history more. Samus was raised by alien bird people, so her getting to experience some more tangible human-focused history would be interesting. Her time in Space Military was comparatively brief, so she has missed a lot of the growing up human experience. I'd love for her to explore social/cultural nuances through missions and downtime! Also exploring Samus's conflicting feelings about working in military operations (she's extremely good at it but hates the red tape) is also always interesting. She joined COST willingly and is going to try very hard to not regret it.

PLOT PLANS:
- Precariously adjust herself to the fact everything around her is EXTREMELY PRIMITIVE. She's from space future; so everything from the guns to the clothes to the food to the transport to the medical equipment will take time getting used to.
- Speaking of food she's probably going to get sick of rations after a while and will consider sneaking off when she probably isn't supposed to to hunt wild game. Join her maybe if you're into that. You know. Real food.
- She's 6' tall and buff as hell and frankly belongs much more on the front lines as a soldier, so she'll probably be disguising herself as a man to make it easier. Feel free to mistake her for a guy or recognize the way she walks. Metroids is a pretty cool guy, eh.
- She also has like, super human strength so she'll warble between downplaying that and using it as needed. Need someone to haul dead/injured bodies around the trenches? Samus can do it. Like three or four at a time, easily. Don't question it.
- Laugh at her because she might actually need to crouch in the trenches.
- That said she also has extensive survival knowledge/experience so if she needs to act as an emergency medical person she absolutely can do that. She's not going to be stitching your legs back on but she can splint a broken one.

DESIRED CR: ALL KINDS, but I especially enjoy slow-build relationships because Samus needs time and patience before she opens up. I also really love banter and sassing and flustering and head-butting type relations that eventually grow to begrudging acceptance or even friendship or more. She appreciates a dry sense of humor, enjoys booze and guns and working on mechanical projects. She also has a lot of outdoors survival kinds of experience and has a strong respect for animals and wildlife... if they are not trying to kill her first.

She tends to get along easier with other super soldier/mercenary/bounty hunter/not-exactly-human types and she also does a lot of training in her spare time. I also love mentor-student type relationships because Samus has a lot to teach but is terrible at teaching it. I also love parent-child relationships, Samus is surprisingly much more natural with those. Negative CR is great and I love it, though it may take extra effort to maintain with Samus since she's inclined to ignore or disengage antagonistic types unless they prove actually threatening or manage to get under her skin in the wrong way.
