Jon Snow ✥ Game of Thrones/ASOIAF
Tell us a little about them!: Jon is a super nice, hard-working, good-hearted guy who often seems grim or overwhelmed because he has a lot to deal with at home: he's the new king of a poor country (similar to medieval Northern England and Scotland) that's at a distinct disadvantage to the army of ice zombies bearing down on it. He and his family have been through a lot... in fact, he's even died. Prior to his death and resurrection, he spent years unhappily guarding a border wall made of ice, because he thought all other career options were closed to him.
Some key words: Brooding, shame, royalty, family secrets/hidden history, action, violence/battle, brooding, desperate situations, hope, swords, isolation, fighting until you can't anymore, being a really great older brother, wolf imagery, crow/raven/blackbird imagery, snow/ice/cold/winter imagery, brooding imagery, wistfulness/nostalgia about summer, medieval imagery, tragic dead lovers, finding your soul mate. Brooding.
What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists? My tastes are pretty eclectic, but I like postpunk, classic alternative, synthpop, britpop and modern rock the most. Some fave artists are Joy Division, David Bowie, Muse, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, Grimes, New Order, Kate Bush, Prince, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, etc. I also like some modern instrumental stuff a lot -- Ryuichi Sakamoto, Max Richter, etc. -- and some choral stuff, esp early/Renaissance a capella stuff, Tavener, and Anonymous 4. And classic hip-hop (mostly 80s stuff).
Is there any kind of music you're definitely not into? What is it? Not a fan of most modern country at all. I love hard rock, but metal can be iffy (I pretty much don't like symphonic metal, for example), as can Top 40 stuff.
List a few songs (3-5 or so) you already associate with this character, so we know what you like:
"A Forest" and "Burn" -- The Cure
"Half A World Away" -- R.E.M.
"Way Down We Go" -- Kaleo
"In Dreams" and "Oats in the Water" -- Ben Howard
"Winter Dies" -- Midlake (honestly anything from The Courage of Others!)
Unless the lyrics really clash, anything with a singer with a pronounced Northern English (esp Yorkshire) or Scottish accent is always of interest! (see below).
Anything else?
Always interested in any suggestions for him and Dany as a couple! A few of the songs I associate with them are:
"Do I Wanna Know" (that super strong accent!), "I Forget Where We Were", "Tear You Apart", and this cover of "Enjoy the Silence" (which is good for pretty much any ship ever). And "We're In This Together" by NIN for reasons the lyrics make pretty clear.

if that's a thingbut I felt like a goody for Jonno subject
I neglected to mention it in the top level but while my personal taste doesn't really lean bluesy, I feel like anything that has kind of a hard rock bluesy vibe (like a lot of 70s metal and a decent amount of 90s stuff that is now dad rock) works pretty well for him. That Kaleo song is much more recent, but kind of emblematic of it. I didn't like everything that was on the official playlists I found for Jon on Spotify, but I did still find a bunch of songs on them.

It actually pains me that there aren't any alt-j songs I associate with Jon; I love them so much.
