Tell us a little about them!: Jon is a super nice, hard-working, good-hearted guy who often seems grim or overwhelmed because he has a lot to deal with at home: he's the new king of a poor country (similar to medieval Northern England and Scotland) that's at a distinct disadvantage to the army of ice zombies bearing down on it. He and his family have been through a lot... in fact, he's even died. Prior to his death and resurrection, he spent years unhappily guarding a border wall made of ice, because he thought all other career options were closed to him.

What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists? My tastes are pretty eclectic, but I like postpunk, classic alternative, synthpop, britpop and modern rock the most. Some fave artists are Joy Division, David Bowie, Muse, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, Grimes, New Order, Kate Bush, Prince, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, etc. I also like some modern instrumental stuff a lot -- Ryuichi Sakamoto, Max Richter, etc. -- and some choral stuff, esp early/Renaissance a capella stuff, Tavener, and Anonymous 4. And classic hip-hop (mostly 80s stuff).
Is there any kind of music you're definitely not into? What is it? Not a fan of most modern country at all. I love hard rock, but metal can be iffy (I pretty much don't like symphonic metal, for example), as can Top 40 stuff.

MAN i love a lot of different kinds of music, but i guess i'll go with alternative? artists i've liked recently include cold war kids, florence + the machine, portugal the man, hozier, foster the people... but this is all recent stuff. i honestly love a huge variety so don't hesitate to suggest stuff from a different genre!

Samus | Metroid

Character: Samus Aran raisedbybirds
Tell us a little about them!: Metroid games are really great at building atmosphere that's foreboding, isolating, strange, somber, intense and introspective. The game OSTs reflect this very well, and these are all things that fit Samus too; out on alien worlds all alone, just her vs the universe. This arranged track from the Metroid Fusion OST is really good (this game had horror elements), and Lower Brinstar are some of my personal favorites. Kraid's theme too, Smash Bros does it right. She was made in the 80s so 80s things are a great nod (I like to imagine she'd probably enjoy Pat Benatar, Madonna, Bananarama, Heart, etc.), but from space-future so I guess digital music/synths, stuff like that fits nice too.

What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists? ME? I like all kinds of music. I'm a sucker particularly for classic rock (70s/80s), electronica, instrumental/classic, swing, etc.

Is there any kind of music you're not into? What is it? probably rap, country, and some pop? But I'm really open to giving anything a try. I love checking out new stuff. I don't really dig songs where the lyrics/vocals are either obnoxious or overwhelm the beat/melody of the song.

Character: John Constantine inconstantly
Tell us a little about them!: John's an alcoholic chain smoking disaster of a magician who puts on a cocky front to hide how dead he is inside. He has a lot of guilt about being responsible for the death of a young girl during a botched exorcism and subsequent damnation of her soul (because of the arrogance in his error his own soul has been damned as well), but unless your character really gets to know him they'd never know it based on how he deflects with humor and flirtatiousness. Self destruction is happening here all day every day.
What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists? My fave band at the moment is Highly Suspect. I listen to a lot of alt and indie shit. John canonically is a big fan of punk but that's not a necessity for a playlist.

What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists?
Man I like almost everything with a good beat. Some of my favorite artists include Florence and the Machine (they are amazing live), Teza Talks, The Neighbourhood, Ruelle, etc.

Is there any kind of music you're not into? What is it?
Dislike country with a burning passion. Some rap is not my jive. Also there are a number of songs on the radio I can't stand but listen to daily at work lmao. I also hate those cutesy voices in songs, it's like nails on the chalkboard for me.

I'M CHEATING A LITTLE because I know I've thrown this at you privately (and I left like a million songs off of my own post, because I thought the full list might be going overboard... "Sweater Weather" was one I dithered about, for example, but) here are a few I strongly associate with Dany:

Grimes: Kill V. Maim -- I honestly associate her as an artist strongly with Dany just in a general sense, partly thematically and partly because of her look in the majority of her videos. But "I got in a fight" and "Sometimes people say that I'm a big time bomb" makes it pretty easy to assign this one to Dany.

David Bowie: Golden Years -- look, this is a song you earn, and she earned it with that 30/30 roll.

Purity Ring: Fineshrine -- Jonerys. Very romantic but also perhaps mildly unhealthy? Esp when it involves a dude with so many chest wounds.

ETA: Also, if "The Winds of Winter" (which I think is probably one of the most memorable and iconic pieces of TV score music ever; the only other stuff I can think of that comes close is the score for Twin Peaks) gets you, you'll probably like Michael Nyman in general and Philip Glass in general. Tell us a little about them!: Edgelord gunslinger with a gothic drama of a past and a lesson on vengeance put into a human meat suit. High risk, high rewards roller. Loves his sister. Is dreadfully fond of his party members. Loyal, cocky, with some swagger and self-assurance in social situations - putting on a haughty royal face, but mostly just Dramatic and Grave in terms of sound when I fish for music for him. Southern Gothic Meets Musical Theatre is a vibe I could go for/have been looking for in my recent pursuits.

What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists? I like a little of this and a little of that, but honestly my leanings are towards folk, dynamic orchestral pieces, some unique pop/rock... I’m willing to try anything. Favorite artists include Paloma Faith, Florence, MSMR, CHVRCHES, First Aid Kit, Aurora, The Mountain Goats, Iron & Wine, The Bleachers, FOB, Sigur Ros, IAMX,.... Panic! At the Disco... I could go on.

Is there any kind of music you're not into? What is it? Anything too calamitous and like warbly yodely (Björk etc.), static is fine (a la Sigur Ros or IAMX). I’m super particular about hip hop, rap, and metal, but it doesn't quite suit Percy that well anyways.
