Tell us a little about them!: Jon is a super nice, hard-working, good-hearted guy who often seems grim or overwhelmed because he has a lot to deal with at home: he's the new king of a poor country (similar to medieval Northern England and Scotland) that's at a distinct disadvantage to the army of ice zombies bearing down on it. He and his family have been through a lot... in fact, he's even died. Prior to his death and resurrection, he spent years unhappily guarding a border wall made of ice, because he thought all other career options were closed to him.

What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists? My tastes are pretty eclectic, but I like postpunk, classic alternative, synthpop, britpop and modern rock the most. Some fave artists are Joy Division, David Bowie, Muse, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, Grimes, New Order, Kate Bush, Prince, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, etc. I also like some modern instrumental stuff a lot -- Ryuichi Sakamoto, Max Richter, etc. -- and some choral stuff, esp early/Renaissance a capella stuff, Tavener, and Anonymous 4. And classic hip-hop (mostly 80s stuff).
Is there any kind of music you're definitely not into? What is it? Not a fan of most modern country at all. I love hard rock, but metal can be iffy (I pretty much don't like symphonic metal, for example), as can Top 40 stuff.

god i love Everything and will listen to basically anything. my tastes are super eclectic, but i love hip hop and R&B, trip hop, electronic, rock of most varieties, electronic, and weird experimental indie shit. if it tells you anything my all time favorite artists are a strange pyramid of Radiohead, Frank Ocean, and Kendrick Lamar lmao.

I feel like maybe a Talking Heads song might work for him, but I'm not sure which one! He's not exactly Once in a Lifetime or Psycho Killer but maybe you'll find something you like in that neighborhood. I kind of associate NMH with being kind of cool and strange, and I associate this band with being a little strange too, and a little retro.

Tell us a little about them!: chill and zen, at peace with himself, yet also an extra little shit when he wants to be. body horror is a part of his character growth, that is, getting over said horror. being stuck between man and machine. he's got a troubled history but he's a good boy.
What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists? MAN i love a lot of different kinds of music, but i guess i'll go with alternative? artists i've liked recently include cold war kids, florence + the machine, portugal the man, hozier, foster the people... but this is all recent stuff. i honestly love a huge variety so don't hesitate to suggest stuff from a different genre!
Is there any kind of music you're not into? What is it? country and western mainly, LMAO... if it's more folks/bluegrass i'm totally cool with that tho!

Character: Samus Aran raisedbybirds
Tell us a little about them!: Metroid games are really great at building atmosphere that's foreboding, isolating, strange, somber, intense and introspective. The game OSTs reflect this very well, and these are all things that fit Samus too; out on alien worlds all alone, just her vs the universe. This arranged track from the Metroid Fusion OST is really good (this game had horror elements), and Lower Brinstar are some of my personal favorites. Kraid's theme too, Smash Bros does it right. She was made in the 80s so 80s things are a great nod (I like to imagine she'd probably enjoy Pat Benatar, Madonna, Bananarama, Heart, etc.), but from space-future so I guess digital music/synths, stuff like that fits nice too.

What are some of your favorite kinds of music and/or your favorite artists? ME? I like all kinds of music. I'm a sucker particularly for classic rock (70s/80s), electronica, instrumental/classic, swing, etc.

Is there any kind of music you're not into? What is it? probably rap, country, and some pop? But I'm really open to giving anything a try. I love checking out new stuff. I don't really dig songs where the lyrics/vocals are either obnoxious or overwhelm the beat/melody of the song.
