GAME GOALS: 76 is here in kind of a bad spot. tl;dr he helped end the robot war, ran a peacekeeping operation for 20 years, was betrayed, blown up, and is now a rage-fueled revenge machine out to uncover THE CONSPIRACY (check out his app for further reading). Being part of COST is forcibly broadening his scope and making him learn how to be part of a team again.

He's also an avid conspiracy theorist and still isn’t entirely sold on this. With all the new information they have about the Regency, he still wants COST to be the good guys pretty badly, but he’s also pretty sure both sides screw with people’s brains.

PLOT PLANS: 76 is continually pissed off that he's been kidnapped away from his former SIC and all of the Very Important Conspiracy Things they were doing. He's got some of his former employees here now, so protecting them is going to be pretty important. They have a lot of embarrassing stories between the four of them, probably.

RIGHT NOW THO we preppin for Spidertown. His big secret is that he was actually a Big Diplomat for like 20 years as part of his leading-an-international-peacekeeping-operation duty, but all of that is behind him and he kind of hates the person he used to be! He can do a lot of the politics and the schmoozing and talking but he would definitely prefer not to at this point. He's also ARTIFICIAL on the hierarchy if you're magical and need a buddy.

Otherwise everyone come meet your new dad, if your dad was not very nice and also all his dadly advice is about how to fight things. If anyone needs any lessons about guns or fighting or punching or War, or you want to talk War Philosophy for some reason, he is your guy.

DESIRED CR: I want everything, but as I expect a lot of his initial encounters to be on the slightly antagonistic side (he’s grumpy), I’d love to try and seek out people he might get along with or tolerate, too. He’s a hardcore military-type and will probably do well with other hardcore military-types, mercenaries, or fellow professionals, if only because they might *~*~*understand each other*~*~*. Most neutral encounters will probably be awkward because he’s awkward, mitigated by the fact that fighting wars is kind of what he Knows and he'll be a little more willing to impart his knowledge, but that’s okay because I love awkward. He's doing a little better with opening up nowadays. Maybe he has??? Friends?????

GAME GOALS: Number one goal is to survive. He's also going to try and make it back with as much loot as he can. And if he can make his own existence more comfortable here in the meanwhile, he'll do that too. He'll admit, though...the idea of being able to tweak history? That's a pretty interesting idea. A nice, big, shiny red button that might need pressing one day.

PLOT PLANS: Being something of a professional soldier at this point, and curious about how this whole time thing works, Felix is going to try and figure out how to game the system to his advantage. How and for what, he doesn't know yet. Give him time.

He's also going to want to shore up his defenses by befriending some folk. He likes having people watch his six, particularly people who don't flinch when stuff gets ugly.

DESIRED CR: Felix is an asshole. We're just gonna start there. If you get involved with him in any fashion, know that he is at his heart a horrible person.

That being said! Felix wants to be around people. He wants to know people. He wants to be involved with people. So he's going to try and worm his way in however he needs to. He comes across most readily as the 'mercenary with the gruff exterior, but a heart of gold', and he'll play that angle to the hilt. So someone trying to convince him of the greater good at stake could be fun. Someone to just be surface-level annoyed whenever he comes into a room? Someone who buys into what he tries to sell them? Also good. I mean I'm up for anything really.

GAME GOALS: Right now I've gotten pretty far in a lot of them! Chiron's figured out that the wish he intended for the Holy Grail isn't worth while/not something he plans to pursue, and he's beginning to get a feel for what he may wish to do if COST continues on. If he gets bumped back to the Grail War, however, it's an unknown and so that's where I really want to focus my next bit of energy on. What does he want for himself that no one else/no other power can grant?

PLOT PLANS: At the moment for the upcoming mission, I'm pretty wide open. Chiron will be fairly vulnerable, so building a network of allies to cover his butt would be fantastic.

GAME GOALS: John's kind of overarching narrative within canon that I'm bringing with him into game is that of atonement. He's fucked up really badly which has earned him a spot in hell so now he's essentially trying to buy his (and someone else's) way back to heaven through his actions. This is going to be extremely difficult considering how selfish a person he is, but he's with COST to try to make An Attempt. Somewhere down the line I'd love for him to get comfortable enough with another character to be able to share Tragic Backstories.

PLOT PLANS: John is still pretty new so mostly I just want him to meet people! Maybe during the last push when lying low doesn't matter anymore just blast the shit out of some spiders? He's not a violent person but he's (to his detriment) not going to take the spiders seriously, ever. They're just overgrown pests.

DESIRED CR: Uhhh casual sex with everyone legal in COST? jk jk mostly But really there are so many good looking people here, is that part of the recruitment package?

I'd really like for him to meet some non-magicals for the upcoming spiderplot! Since he is a magic user he'll want to save his own ass and be around someone of another class. John is incredibly good at lying and presenting a front, so he'd be an asset for any mission that involves bullshittery. However he's also not great at actual physical combat so it would be good for him to be around someone who is! Also please drink with him so he doesn't have to do it alone. I'm certain some excellent decisions will be made. /fingerguns

TAGGING HABITS: Unless there's significant disruptions (glowers at last week), I try to tag at least once every day or once every other day. NAME: Ryo Asuka (Satan)
CANON: That one with the Debils. Devilman. Specifically OVA/manga, because the OVAs were never finished and so I gotta round out some shit, thanks.

GAME GOALS: Besides get everyone used to the idea of Ryo Asuka, a very traumatized teenager, and then smash through everyone's perceptions of that by bringing in Satan? I guess make Satan have "sort of" friends, talk about their suffering under "God," have either talk about Akira/demons/etc. in any sort of capacity, have Ryo have an episode wherein he doesn't remember what he did, have Ryo call someone besides Akira an idiot/bastard/etc. affectionately, offer at least one delinquency-oriented prompt per top-level as Ryo until Satan turns up lmf.

In short, I want to get them to a place where they can fully and openly acknowledge and suss through their feelings about humans, Akira, and refocus their goals to go on ahead and drag that boy out of Hell as soon as they get back home. Because, you know, they love him.

PLOT PLANS: Ryo's still sort of fresh meat. Spiderland is going to be tough for him because Ryo is under the impression he's entirely human and will not cope very well because of what the folks there will perceive. Otherwise, I know he's going to have his drunk ass dragged home by a few folks... So, that's always fun. He's surprisingly (sort of) adept outside his being an absolute disaster, so he'd be an asset to anyone when he's being viewed at a higher level. He's also really good with a gun and can rig up some sweet whips. I mean, if you want to get into some trouble (while still maintaining the mission), you can definitely go on ahead and flag down your boy. He'll... "help." I mean, similarly, if you want to get into some nonsense about why he isn't really acting one particular rank or another at any given time, I'm here for it. He's actually not trying to cause trouble (for once) on that one.

Basically, yeah, just come on at me if you want anything or you need stuff fixed up. Or your makeup fixed up, actually! No one can argue with me that he doesn't know how to do makeup. Those eyelashes though.

DESIRED CR: Ryo Asuka is very sad and very paranoid, so he comes off pretty cold, aloof, and (often) blunt/abrasive at first. I'm sure to most folks he seems pretty unbalanced too (because he is). He's actually quite smart and has a gentle heart despite these exterior aspects, however, but it'll take some considerable digging to get the latter trait to come through to you. He loves nature and animals (that aren't humans), but also loves indulging in various vices to keep his brain sort of muffled. So, if you can provide any of those? You're probably in better graces than most. He's also very handy! Beside makeup for this mission, he can modify guns/vehicles canonically. So, he'll be very useful for this mission with your pistols too. He loves pistols. Talk to him about guns/vehicles and demons. Well, maybe on the latter. He's pretty closed about it, because it is his and Akira's secret.

UHH, yeah. Ryo's also really touch-starved. So, I mean, if you want to have fun with that fact and the fact he's kind of like a startled animal at all times, by all means. He's only had one person lay a hand on him in kindness in months (which is Akira). And, well, that person is no longer here. He's sufferin'.

CANON: Dragon Age (post-Origins)

GAME GOALS: I like to take things organically and my game goals have always been pretty nebulous: explore this unusual point in Morrigan's storyline where her worldstate makes her experience self-doubt for what's pretty close to the first time, get her to learn to trust people even though getting friendly with people again is the last thing she wants to do right now, have wacky adventures through time and space. Morrigan doesn't remember joining COST and has been resentful about it and nursing a healthy amount of skepticism, but she's also pretty sure she's pregnant (her unborn kid's stored in a cryotube in her room on base) and if what COST is selling is all true she cares more than she realizes. Status: it's complicated.

PLOT PLANS: In spiderland Morrigan's magical and may benefit from reluctantly buddying up with nonmagical types, so I'm up for stuff dealing with that. While she'll be playing dress-up and cleaning up nicely, she won't be into stuff like dancing. One thing she will be good at is the language. Armed with the knowledge that she'll be thought of as a tasty treat she wants to understand as much as possible of what's being said around her.

Also, she's interested in finding a way to disrupt (at least temporarily) the magical nullification in the Regency's uniforms, if possible, and I'm pretty sure a few people salvaged armor in pre-beach encounters, but this isn't her style of tinkering so it won't happen without the help of others. Related to that, she's collecting a few sparring buddies, helping them get used to defending against magical attacks while she hones combat instincts that aren't magical.

DESIRED CR: Generally speaking I like dynamics with push and pull and I'm all about exploring both the ups and downs in any relationship. Behind the scenes I'm a fan of bantery dynamics, characters bonding while being stuck together, mutual ass-saving, characters who can both gain Morrigan's respect and challenge her. IC, Morrigan's basically been surrounding herself -- to the extent that she surrounds herself at all -- with people she thinks of as skeptical and/or very competent. She's also been complaining about Earth to, like, everyone so if you're tired of Earth she's here for you.

NAME: Mamoru Hijikata
CANON: Until Death Do Us Part

GAME GOALS: Mamoru joined COST out of his own volition because basically, the Regency's forced peace thing makes him useless. He views himself as a weapon and a criminal, even if he spent the whole canon taking down bad guys, he will tell you he has no personal beef with them (unless, things) and that he's no knight in shining armor. He forewent every normal lifestyle to follow the way of the sword due to childhood trauma, a forced-focus-turned-obsessions-turned-lifestyle since he's like, eight, and a certain amount of circumstances that pretty much made him swerve the fuck out of a path leading to a soft life. He's also described as a man "born in the wrong era" in canon - his reason to live is clinging to a dead art. In this game, he really wants to bring the Regency down (the fact that he's thrown into completely different eras and places is a bonus because he thirsts for knowledge like crazy), come back home, and follow up with whatever is the result of these shenanigans. While he knows that all militias have their flaws, and Mamoru has already spotted quite a few with COST, he really wants them to work because he knows that it's not just up to him to get the results he wants. That's pretty much his goal with that slightly suspicious and assholeish network post: getting to know who's used to work as a team even when the shit hits the fan and who isn't, if anyone is wondering.

PLOT PLANS: He's going to have some trouble in SpiderLand in most everything that doesn't entail some physical skill - posture, dancing, fighting, dealing with cutlery, bowing, he's actually good at, but his attempts at the rest will be laughable. He isn't entirely stupid and knows how to read a room (even though he's blind) enough to know when to push and bend certain rules and when not to. But the hierarchy, the excess of rules and etiquette over every little thing will get on his nerves. His version of diplomacy includes threatening people's families and slicing up tendons, but he won't backstab anyone - it's not his style to attack someone with their back turned. That said, he may be somewhat of an anachronism, but he's so practical that he will be willing to play dirty and bend fencing rules if it means getting an advantage over his opponent. Which may be voredfrowned upon.

He will be very open to people needing instructions on what he can help (the fact that he's blind makes him utter useless at videogames, for example), but he will also be very open to people willing to help him out. Canonly he's known for not asking for help, I can tweak a bit of that for the sake of CR, if needed. I have a training top level here of him failing, mostly. He can't even see if he managed to remove all of his glitter.

DESIRED CR: I'm really up for anything.

- Would love to throw this guy out of his comfort zone, which means having a wide variety of CR, from the awkward to the domestic to the comical, to the negative, to the bros-in-arms, to a protecting role. He doesn't get that much of that in his canon, so that would be amazing.
- While he's the first one at telling you that he's very comfortable with the way things are in his life (really), do call him on his bullshit that he keeps fighting people who are probably doing the same except he does it out of his personal choices. Call him out, or let him call your character out and be a hypocrite. I just want people to yell at him. That would be A+.
- While he has already a fair few of sparring partners in this SWORD CLUB(?? I am assuming it already exists, guys???), there is no such thing as too much and he will fight anyone regardless of them using blades or not.
- Before his life went to total shit, he was an actual assistant instructor and on his way to inheriting a very famous dojo back in Japan. This means that he falls into a tutor's role very easily. So yeah, he's taking students, ig. He promises he won't throw you at a bear. Not unless you're a precog 13-year-old.
- Honestly he's not really here to make friends, but I want him to learn about being normal. So yeah, that's it, that's the show.

PLOT PLANS: The Force isn’t considered magic, so Kylo is going to be viewed as normal as all the other normal people around him. Obviously this is going to make him angry and bitter, because he’s special, and no one understands him. In the meantime he’ll be doing his best to put to use what Leia taught him about not being a slob, and actually acting like royalty. Maybe. He's still open for training shenanigans here!

DESIRED CR: I am always happy for people that will fight with or against him, physically, verbally, or whatever. People that make him feel guilty, because he deserves to feel bad. Kylo isn’t one to offer his expertise in something, but he does secretly want to teach in some capacity.

GAME GOALS: Ensuring her own survival, her brother's survival, and Percy's. Vex doesn't remember joining COST which has given her a considerable amount of doubt and distrust towards them, not to mention the discrepancies in the three's points of time. Something they are currently in the process of having to deal with. She wants to get a proper read on COST, try to figure them out, see if they are what they say they are etc etc. Honestly Vex is playing it a lot by ear, and so am I. Just going with the flow and stuff.

PLOT PLANS: Try not to get eaten by spiders!!! Make sure her brother and Percy don't get eaten by spiders!!! Being Magical she has something of a disadvantage going into Spiderland, so she would probably benefit finding some non-magical peeps to hang around. That being said Vex is prepped to deal with the courtly side of things, though she is hopeless at anything relating to video games. But yeah, making some allies and ensuring her survival through Spiderland is the main goal at the moment.

DESIRED CR: EVERYTHING???? GAME GOALS: Seeing as he has a Master again, that's been taken care of. But please help him grow a spine, good lord. Siegfried is probably one of the most ridiculous pushovers, especially since he looks like he could break people easily. "Gentle giant" is an apt description, but he apologizes too much and avoids conflict as much as he can (unless someone pushes his buttons and then he's not so gentle anymore- it takes a while to get there). He's kind and nice but he's easy to bully and poke fun of, he doesn't care for himself and worries about everyone else, and essentially treats himself terribly because he truly believes his own self-care comes last to everything else. Please help him he needs to get out of this habit BADLY.

PLOT PLANS: Avoiding having people touch his back. Trying not to become spider food. Getting what info he can on the Regency. Trying not to get eaten. Learn more about the Regency. Show off a bit. Do sum diplomatting. He is OK with filling the more 'servant' role if need be, so don't be afraid to rough him up a little ;) Just don't take it overboard or he might hold a bit of a grudge.

GAME GOALS: Thor is having a bad time. Half of his family is dead, as far as he knows, so that sucks. He's navigated through some difficult choices that have put his future into perspective and, now that he's seen some of what it really takes to be a king, and he's starting to feel disillusioned with the whole idea of the throne and its effectiveness. While he still has a very strong sense of duty, he's turned it towards actively helping the people he's responsible for, and through that he's basically found a lot of chaos and impending disaster.

Thor is, for the most part, a pretty optimistic 'third-option where everyone wins' kind of guy. My general game goals are to push him toward dealing with more morally gray situations/people and following along that arc but honestly I'm really easy and I'm gonna roll with whatever happens.

PLOT PLANS: Thor is a big magical boy so for the purposes of this mission he's at the bottom of the ladder and would do well with a partner or two. He's great at fighting and dominating conversation but he definitely chafes at being asked to bow/dance/deal with courtly manners in general.

He would defintely want to gather info on COST and the Regency, know your enemy and all, etc. Ignis' sense of self (or lack thereof) is so rooted in his journey back home that being on these missions will be both uncomfortable for all obvious reasons, but also force him to step outside comfort zones.

PLOT PLANS: BUDDY NEEDS NEW GLASSES. So that's gonna be a Goal. He's arriving without his specs and thats Not Acceptable. Someone help him.

He's a normie and a newbie, so meeting folks will be nice! Ignis will be fine in his role in spiderland, and may even be able to help others out! You need a guy for propriety, Ignis is your dude. He will assist others so that they fit in a little better and don't go offending the court. He doesn't want to be killed by spiders. That said, he's going to use the servant role as a way to snoop around, and if someone wants to tag along, lets do it. He is always interested in gathering intel on creatures, people and politics.

Where the missions are involved, Ignis is best suited to the court and the game. While he won't necessarily be up for murdering folks, he can talk the talk (mostly, he's not THAT big of an asshole). It'd be interesting if he ended up with someone a little more hands on (especially since he won't really know anyone well yet). He is the king of verbal minefields so he could definitely be an asset to someone else.Equally he'd be good at the game, because strategy is his strong suit. And he's probably played enough video games to be decent at them thanks to his canon.

Or please talk to him about the food in the court. He's going to be So Concerned about the raw meat. SO CONCERNED.

With the BCEs, she can walk around without it but she doesn't have her super cool powers without it. :( Lena will be more than willing to help out people who fall lower on the hierarchy than her. Her strengths are dancing and being charming in conversation. Her weaknesses are diplomacy and fencing.

However, despite his extensive combat experience, he is not exactly a soldier, and is unused to killing targets (because he's anime Batman).

PLOT PLANS: Aizawa is a natural; he has his superhero stuff, but he's otherwise a human man. Spider society will take a toll on him, not because of the spiders per se--he's perfectly used to strange bodies and monstrous forms--but because of all the etiquette. He doesn't dance, isn't much for diplomacy, and is basically bad at everything this world needs him to be good at.

Except stealth. He's good at stealth.

DESIRED CR: Aizawa is a taciturn straight-shooter, sleepy and weird, but also completely on the side of Justice. He works well with people who are obnoxiously loud/gregarious, much as he might seem to resist them; he also appreciates people who value reason and rationality. Though he's a professional hero, he identifies more powerfully as a high school teacher--if you need some strict dad discipline, he's your guy.

PLOT PLANS: minatsuki is very well-suited to jhashch, so if anyone wants a partner to tag along with, she's an excellent candidate — she's artificial, with a blood mutation that was lab-engineered, and she's also more than capable of being cruel, cunning, and manipulative. left to her own devices, she might be as far from court-worthy as you could get, but putting on an act is kind of Her Thing. she will be very much in her element here and she'll kind of hate that. also she'll probably take part in the combat arena and she might come out of it a little... manic, since uh, Trauma.

DESIRED CR: minatsuki gets along best with people that aren't afraid to stand up to her and won't be cowed by her temper; she's used to hanging out with her fellow wonderland prisoners who are all abrasive personalities of their own, so she doesn't really know how to deal with Being Nice. but anyone patient or persistent enough to deal with her works just fine! she's going to be a little wary bc she's almost certain that people will reject her once they know about the kind of shit she's done, soooo she's a bit of a long-term project if you want her as anything more than a casual drinking buddy.
