The plot currently happening is taking place in the turbulence of revolutionary Paris. Now that you're all here, we're going to start doing 'update' posts giving you an idea of what's going in in Paris, that your characters can react to with logs and network posts. We'll also have some plotting options going up today.

NAME: MIDNIGHTER. some call him 'm', feel free.
CANON: the post-n52 dc universe, specifically rebirth; i take most of his characterization from steve orlando's writing of his 2015 solo. in non nerd speak, he once handcuffed himself to nightwing for fun.

GAME GOALS: midnighter is shit at maintaining relationships of any kind, he has a bad habit of letting them fall to the wayside. i definitely want to try and have him get some sort of... consistency? out of the world. also, he knows shitall about history. also, he is technically a superhero.

PLOT PLANS: peanut butter.

DESIRED CR: look, midnighter is dick. like. he's combattive for no reason, pointlessly confrontational, and overly fond of physical and emotional intimidation. he also likes flirting, often as a way to try and dominate other men or make them uncomfortable (he's gay, honey). he is a fighter, and he will fight anyone, and he percieves almost everything as some kind of battle to be lost or won. so negative or frenemies cr is easy as balls to get with this dick.

that said: he has a secret soft spot for kids and young people in general, and really empathizes with people who have been 'wronged' in some way. he might be some grimdark punch robot, but at the end of the day he's still a superhero and deeply believes in justice and retribution.

either way, Bucky’s good for consistency. he tends not to judge others solely from interaction and doesn’t like keeping enemies much. so idk maybe he can kill him with aggressive kindness and see how that goes???

they can also spar, m will be doing a lot of sparring on the station. hes only used a sword like twice in his life but the computer in his brain will make up for a lot (and also watch jons moves so he can copy them)

Dorian is an excellent sounding board, he can put up with a lot of shit honestly, of course he has some of his own repellent character traits I'm not completely sure what would send M running away screaming (I'm having a hard time picturing that actually).

Dorian would actually really go for the flirting, honestly, he flirts with anything on two legs because it's fun. They could get along?

midnighter really just cant tolerate like. people who kill for no reason, people who hurt kids, straight up VILLAINOUS behavior (hes a superhero after all). they might have some interesting convos abt dorian owning slaves but idk if thatll ever come up (hi im a big dragon age nerd)

also midnighter is very out if in a reserved way (its just who he is its not a big deal hes v comfortable with it) so that might be fun

Well Dorian is no killer, but his people are clearly villainized. They could have some very interesting conversations about slavery and Thedas, though he'll be quick to point out that his family owns slaves he doesn't, but he still doesn't think about it enough to know that it's not natural. So interesting conversations to be had about that.

The idea of being "out" might actually be funny for Dorian (and funny to rp in general) because there isn't a word for homosexuality in Thedas and sexuality is...so interesting in Thedas. He doesn't actively hide it, which is 99 of his problems, but he doesn't introduce himself as "I'm Dorian and I like men" so he's good at leading people on.

If M drinks it'd be amazing, if he likes exchanging insults, then the CR will be epic.
