We're at the very end of Gallipoli, before characters return to BASE. An OOC post for BASE will be available in two days, but it'll be another week before characters are called back (OOC; it'll go much more quickly from an IC perspective and you'll only be aboard the Marie Antoinette for a day or so). This is so we don't pile two logs on you at once.

But, in anticipation for the time-step, you all have something very particular waiting for you back at BASE (which veterans will remember from their last visit):

DESIRED CR: I'd love to continue building existing CR, but also expand to more friends and also negative CR. It takes effort for Chiron to be judgemental and dislike someone, but it is possible.

Use his strategic capabilities as a helpful addition in this war, antagonise members of the regency because he can't help but make fun of certain sorts of people even if it's a really really bad idea, challenge some of his more unhelpful philosophies and engage in the worst kinds of gallows humour with like-minded souls.

PLOT PLANS:
When back at base I'll be cashing in some XP in order to get rather a... lot of mochi to spread around and bring a bit of comfort after a rough couple of months on last mission. I'll also have Yoshitsugu spread some information about his rather, ah, interesting mission into a ghost filled labyrinth of a necropolis with Takatora. Nothing else specifically yet.

DESIRED CR: Hello to new roomie Dorian! Yoshitsugu will be wanting to check in on any CR he already has when at base to see how you're doing mentally, or indeed in the TDM log if you've top-levelled there. Otherwise I'm open as most are to all kinds of CR (but would really love to irritate some folk with his humour).

GAME GOALS: 76 is here in kind of a bad spot. tl;dr he helped end the robot war, ran a peacekeeping operation for 20 years, was betrayed, blown up, and is now a rage-fueled revenge machine out to uncover THE CONSPIRACY (check out his app for further reading). Being part of COST is forcibly broadening his scope and making him learn how to be part of a team again.

He's also an avid conspiracy theorist and still isn’t entirely sold on this. With all the new information they have about the Regency, he still wants COST to be the good guys pretty badly, but he’s also pretty sure both sides screw with people’s brains, so he’s going to keep digging around in that sandbox.

PLOT PLANS: 76 is continually pissed off that he's been kidnapped away from his former SIC and all of the Very Important Conspiracy Things they were doing. Gallipoli was the third mission in a row that's taken place on his world, so he's kind of anxious about that. DON'T SCREW UP THE TIMELINE he's starting to get mad.

RIGHT NOW THO he’s mostly ready to just Chill. He’s already lived through a pretty horrific war and can’t really turn off the whole soldier thing but He's already lived through a pretty horrific war and he's generally more concerned with the rest of you. I am really looking forward to some downtime to catch up on old CR! Or new CR! Everyone come meet your new dad, if your dad was not very nice and also all his dadly advice is about how to fight things. If anyone needs any lessons about guns or fighting or punching or War, or you want to talk War Philosophy for some reason, he is your guy.

DESIRED CR:  I want everything, but as I expect a lot of his initial encounters to be on the slightly antagonistic side (he’s grumpy), I’d love to try and seek out people he might get along with or tolerate, too. He’s a hardcore military-type and will probably do well with other hardcore military-types, mercenaries, or fellow professionals, if only because they might *~*~*understand each other*~*~*. I'm especially looking to buddy him up with fellow adults. He’s probably getting all his gear back if anyone wants to be like ‘what’s that on your face’. Most neutral encounters will probably be awkward because he’s awkward, mitigated by the fact that fighting wars is kind of what he Knows and he'll be a little more willing to impart his knowledge, but that’s okay because I love awkward.

PLOT PLANS: he's going to settle in on BASE and try to make sense of everything that's happened, because everything keeps happening so much. this includes taking his position in the kitchen back up (because he stress cooks), creating a little safe haven for himself in his capsule, and trying to figure out all of his newfangled apps and how they work. not much, but he's also going to be a listless drunk for a bit. this may be dangerous for some people, hmu if you really want to rumble. on one hand his patience usually hits zero really, really, quickly when he's intoxicated. on the other, he's more pliable and easy-going with insults because he hates himself! yay!

GAME GOALS: She has a Master now, I'm so glad (hi Ryuji). BUT she still has a literal mountain of issues to get through, both father-based and not who am I kidding, they all relate to her dad. I'd like for her to help other people out and get to grow through it! Other than that, Agoge is kind of a wing it game, so I'm winging it.

PLOT PLANS:
She has a cat on BASE! Feel free to npc it in any tags (it's just a normal cat, nothing special), but also feel free to notice Mordred chasing after it on... all... fours? She's a weirdo.

Buuut after the Regency torture she's going to be a bit more brooding than usual. It won't be super noticeable, but she's normally very loud and outgoing; at times she'll be keeping to herself in her room and quiet spaces and just thinking with both her brain cells. Anyone that knows her might notice that she seems a bit off her game.

XP-wise, she's getting both her surfboard and a horrible outfit. The latter she'll be wearing around (abs, but also god why), the former... well, maybe when there's a suitable mission for it. But it's a thing she has now. OH AND BIRCHSTORY TOO, come at her fellow kids.

DESIRED CR:
Going by 'Saber' is becoming just a convenience thing to her at this point; she'll give out her real name if anyone asks and she doesn't distrust them. So characters who know Arthurian stuff (or would look it up) could make for interesting discussions! Her past is something she'll discuss relatively freely, albeit something that can still set her off easily.

She can take spirit form and phase through walls, so if she wants to talk to someone she's liable to just... show up in their capsule without warning. It's rude, but she's a rude person. Could lead to "I'm here to see x, but you came back first, so let's talk instead" sort of threads, or honestly her just getting bored and passing out in someone else's bunk because it was closer.

Seriously, though, chances are I'm up for whatever. These are just vague ideas! People who can stand her for longer than five minutes (I salute you) are welcome, as are people who will antagonize her/be antagonized. She's kind of an asshole sometimes. A nice, big, shiny red button that might need pressing one day.

PLOT PLANS: Being something of a professional soldier at this point, and curious about how this whole time thing works, Felix is going to try and figure out how to game the system to his advantage. How and for what, he doesn't know yet. Give him time.

He's also going to want to shore up his defenses by befriending some folk. He likes having people watch his six, particularly people who don't flinch when stuff gets ugly.

DESIRED CR: Felix is an asshole. We're just gonna start there. If you get involved with him in any fashion, know that he is at his heart a horrible person.

That being said! Felix wants to be around people. He wants to know people. He wants to be involved with people. So he's going to try and worm his way in however he needs to. He comes across most readily as the 'mercenary with the gruff exterior, but a heart of gold', and he'll play that angle to the hilt. So someone trying to convince him of the greater good at stake could be fun. Someone to just be surface-level annoyed whenever he comes into a room? Someone who buys into what he tries to sell them? Also good. I mean I'm up for anything really.

GAME GOALS: Overall I want this guy to fucking figure some things out. Dude sees himself as a weapon and not exactly a normal person; He volunteered to join COST because the Regency was taking away his sole purpose to live - peace = no fighting. And that's the thing, he's really obsessive about the lifestyle he chose [sure, there are some circumstances that could've led him that way, but overall he will tell you that he could've chosen to do the opposite anytime] and like hell the Regency is taking that away from him, with the added bonus of learning from historical and mythical battles. Oh. Yeah. He's drinking all of that up. Feel free to point out how at ease he was in the middle of a war zone, seriously, and how fucked up that is. But yeah, goals, in general, involve throwing him out of his comfort zone, the constant quest for GITTING GUD, doing the "you're not in this alone" thing.


PLOT PLANS: So #1 he's going to finally lose the gas mask he has been wearing because he's scarred all over his face and obviously blind SO he had to wear it for the sake of keeping his cover. Face reveal to some people I guess?? Yes, the dude is blind. He's running on hypervigilance so #2 he will be heading straight to the gym and work out until he can't walk. #3 take a shower. #4 eat. #5 sleep for a whole day. #6 Rinse, repeat from #2 to #4 with a sprinkle of cat naps. That's... basically going to be his life at BASE, guys. He's all work and no fun - drag him out of it.

DESIRED CR: The least helpful answer: anything! Murphy is great for outright negative CR, conflictive CR, sarcastic commentary, pragmatic voice-of-reason, but is also pretty good at empathy, understanding and support. Finding role models is also CR I'd be interested in, though he's difficult and typically unimpressed with adults so it takes a while.

GAME GOALS: Midnighter needs to learn to CHILL. Honestly, I want him to kind of better understand how 'normal' humans work, namely that he's not so different from them and a lot of his confusion comes from mental blocks and his own feelings of inadequacy. I also want him to headbutt an alien.

PLOT PLANS: When we get back to BASE, he needs to get some relaxing time in. That said, he's an extrovert who doesn't like being left alone, and will want to spend time with people and learn more about them, talk to them, etc. For a murderer, he genuinely loves people.

I always want to see her find reasons to trust people and struggle through it.

PLOT PLANS: I live in a constant state of winging it. Eventually I assume Morrigan's head'll be turned by something magical (or otherwise powerful and relevant enough to her interests) and she'll act on more selfish instincts than the straight-up survival mode she's been on since her recruitment. Maybe that'll happen on the next mission, but whenever it does I'm hoping she can clash a little with someone over it.

DESIRED CR: I'm up for any kind of cr. I'm especially into dynamics with push and pull and I enjoy exploring the ups and downs of any given relationship. Over the next month my cr wishlist includes:

- fellow cynics and people who're as tired of Earth as Morrigan is, bonus points if you're COST-wary

PLOT PLANS: For plot specifically, not all that much? He will inwardly be questioning more and more the conflict between COST and the Regency and the truth to it, if there's really any sort of positive outcome, but he will be more sparing who he discusses this with...

- Unite their group if she can/if people need convincing so that they can work as a cohesive unit to save her future babies.

PLOT PLANS: Dany's been through an ordeal, and while she left the Regency base mostly angry, there's still a part of her that's been affected. She'll likely be MIA for the first week or so back on BASE, since she'll have lost the lion helmet, can finally eat/drink, can take the longest shower ever known to COST, and can SLEEP!
- Checking in with her fellow prisoners when they're back on BASE, as well as sharing the cask of Red Summerwine she got from the Reach.
- She'll likely have some moments of insomnia and will be wandering around BASE, so use that if you want as your opportunity to poke at her... especially if you want your character to learn more about what she learned while captured by the Regency!
- People who do interact with her might notice she's a little off. Less smiles, a bit more detached due to her falling behind the queenly mask.
- Prompto is her roomie, he'll get to deal with a broody queen. She also has no idea who he is.
- Also planning on having her step it up to discuss this whole representatives for the PCs while they're in COST. She started talking a little bit about it with Chiron (the dad, not her horse) thanks to a discussion with Hei. I'd like to follow through with that further!
- Making a dumb avatar on BirchStory and probably being all :| at how weird this thing is.

DESIRED CR:

I can't decide if Rose & Dany would get along terribly or wonderfully. There's a lot of things about Dany that will remind Rose of her best friend back home so I'm hoping the latter.

Rose has also grown up around royalty so that might help. She was basically a bodyguard to a Princess (the aforementioned Best Friend.)

She's also great in regards to magical appreciation, as she'd be very much dead without it, and in her canon, Rose has been trying to show people that magic can be more than just a parlor trick and can be used to help in a way people have forgotten to. She's seen the bad side of it too, but falls on the side of "Magic, Good".

GAME GOALS: Siegfried had a Master halfway through Gallipoli, but upon returning to BASE he's going to find out that she's... well. Gone. Meaning he's back to being Masterless and therefore has to find ways to conserve mana until he stops being a dumbass and stops thinking there's something wrong with him finds a new Master. So, obviously, my major goal is to find someone who he can trust enough to make a contract with and not have to worry about fading away. He's been partially burned by having his canon Master be an ass, and now with his second Master disappearing; so he's fighting against a lot of feelings of thinking he might be the cause for things not working out.

He'll need a mage or someone with a good chunk of mana- he's a Saber class and also has immortality, meaning he takes a lot of it just by simply existing. I definitely think he'd go for someone relatively soon, though! Gallipoli taught him a lesson, in a sense.

PLOT PLANS: My major plans are for him to set up a training of sorts or a way to teach others how to use a sword sometime on the downtime on BASE. Training for guns was given for the time, but Siegfried really just needs to find something to do to ease out his irritation and frustration during Gallipoli (usually he'd just blow up stuff on a bottle mission but he has no Master, so that's out of the question). Teaching others (and having people spar him or ask him for a spar he'll gladly accept but probably not give his all, sorry my dudes he doesn't want to kill you) will help him focus and concentrate immensely.

As for anything else, I'm really open. He's got a lot of conflicting feelings on enacting justice since being in Gallipoli, and I'd love for him to eventually come to an acceptance that it can't always be done, and for him to be okay with that. He's grown so much from this last mission, and I want to continue that, despite the setbacks of losing his Master.

DESIRED CR: ANYTHING, I MEAN IT. Siegfried's very easy to get along with, very easy to talk with, even easier to bully. You'd think for a guy who looks like he could tear someone in two, he'd actually have a spine- but NOPE. Poor guy's got self-esteem issues out the wazoo and no sense of self-worth. His outlook is very much accepting of everything that happens to him, so much so that he never tries to fight against it. So feel free to teach him, yell at him, push him around. He won't always take it, but most of the time, he will.

He is the epitome of "a good man who just wants to protect everyone and is too kind for his own good."

- BASE STUFF!!! I'm excited to do base things. She didn't get to explore BASE in great detail before Gallipoli so there will be easy excuses for her sticking her nose in rooms she probably doesn't belong in. She's gotta explore, that's what she does.
- She's going to hog the showers for a while. You can fight her for them. In the shower if you want. She has no shame. I have no shame either.
- WHO NEEDS HAIRCUTS AND SHAVES? She's bad at this.
- Samus will not have her Power Suit back just yet which is fine by me since this means it's a good opportunity to interact with her face-to-face before I get enough xp for it and she never takes it off again unless she has to.
- Follow up on some of the captive-ees as some of them were from her groups. WHAT HAPPEN.
- She acquired some sweet sweet Regency threads/gear and will be tinkering with them. Please bother her about it because she'll be trying to keep it under the table in the immediate fashion.
- Network shitposting of some kind. Samus is extremely bad with this in general so when she can manage to pull it off it's very satisfying.
- Samus is also bad at the whole 'downtime' thing and will also be hogging sparring areas and the like. Someone tell her to go sleep or something.

DESIRED CR: ALL KINDS, but I especially enjoy slow-build relationships because Samus needs time and patience before she opens up. I also really love banter and sassing and flustering and head-butting type relations that eventually grow to begrudging acceptance or even friendship or more. She appreciates a dry sense of humor, enjoys booze and guns and working on mechanical projects. She also has a lot of outdoors survival kinds of experience and has a strong respect for animals and wildlife... if they are not trying to kill her first.

She tends to get along easier with other super soldier/mercenary/bounty hunter/not-exactly-human types and she also does a lot of training in her spare time. I also love mentor-student type relationships because Samus has a lot to teach but is terrible at teaching it. I also love parent-child relationships, Samus is surprisingly much more natural with those. Negative CR is great and I love it, though it may take extra effort to maintain with Samus since she's inclined to ignore or disengage antagonistic types unless they prove actually threatening or manage to get under her skin in the wrong way.
